KAIST hosted a lecture series titled Happy Campus Life (즐거움 시리즈 강연), mainly planned for freshmen, featuring nine professors from diverse fields. On October 20th, Professor Suk delivered the closing talk, “Happy Campus Life with Nubzuki (넙죽이).”
As KAIST’s official mascot, Nubzuki has evolved into a beloved character embodied in various souvenir items. Through these efforts, the KAIST Brand Shop has seen rapid growth, reinvesting its profits back into the university community. One of its most meaningful initiatives is the “Welcome Kit,” a gift package sent individually to newly admitted undergraduate students as a gesture of celebration and belonging.
Nubzuki represents more than just a mascot—it serves as a symbol of communication, creativity, and shared happiness within KAIST’s culture. Professor Suk emphasized that her happiness with Nubzuki comes from creating meaningful artifacts, achieving sustainable business, and giving back to the community.
