Colorlab proudly congratulates Amina Rakhimzhanova (아미나 락힘자노바) on completing her Master of Science degree in Industrial Design at KAIST. Her thesis presents an AI-assisted product lighting ideation platform, Luxplore, that supports designers in exploring affective lighting concepts during the early stages of the design process.

Her research investigates how designers evaluate and select lighting reference images and introduces a computational image-retrieval approach based on affective and visual qualities. Building on these findings, she developed and evaluated a design platform that transforms concept prompts and reference imagery into diverse candidates for product lighting visualizations.

We celebrate Amina’s achievement and her contribution to AI-assisted affective lighting exploration for home appliances.
